Web table discrimination with composition of rich structural and content information

► We propose a novel method to discriminate meaningful tables from decorative one. ► The composite kernel is constructed by combining parse tree and linear kernels. ► The parse tree kernel handles structure information of a web table. ► The linear kernel handles the content information of a table. ► The proposed method achieves the state-of-the-art performance.
