Abstract
⺠The work introduces artificial immune system (AIS) as a knowledge-based diagram that could be used in building reliable anti computer viruses applications. ⺠The Genetic Algorithm (GA) is used in tuning and optimizing the parameters of this anti-virus AIS based system. Results were improved with the GA. ⺠Testing results were comparative to other commercial anti-virus software. ⺠The complexity and performance of the proposed software were acceptable. It proved to be useable in online applications.
