Abstract
⺠In this work we propose a structured approach to help the Decision Maker to find the most suitable alternative for him. ⺠The suggested algorithm uses a knowledge acquisition technique to help in defining and discovering the Decision Maker's preferences and criteria. ⺠The suggested algorithm is used to design a product search assistant. ⺠The assistant's goal is to give support to a consumer when he searches products into an e-marketplace. ⺠The assistant has been integrated into a multi-agent architecture developed to give support to an e-marketplace.
