Abstract
► The sensor deployment to diagnose the distributed failures is studied. ► We solve an ILP problem with a new evolutionary algorithm. ► A novel discrete evolutionary algorithm is proposed for solving the sensor deployment. ► DGBMO is suitable for sensor disposition optimization especially in large-sized UAV networks.
