Abstract
In order to better protect the data in XML document, a novel method is presented for the XML (eXtensible Markup language) tree structure, which is based on Shamir's secret sharing about polynomial interpolation. In this paper, according to purpose-based access control we establish different structure views for different users, and then pick out the address of leaf nodes' content in structure view as the coefficient in polynomial. The modified theory of secret sharing is adopted to accomplish the security protection for XML. To evaluate this model, experiments were conducted to measure its performance.
