Abstract
B. Steiner proposed a low cost channel estimation method through short training sequences, which has been applied in third generation mobile communicationTD-SCDMA system. However, the errors are inevitable in estimated channel impulse response due to inter-carrier interference and additive noise. To further improve the system performance, joint channel estimation has been proposed to reduce the effect of residule interference and noise. In order to get higher estimation accuracy, this paper presents conjugate gradient algorithm for channel estimation, which is suitable for large matrix. Simulation results are compared between B. Steiner channel estimator and conjugate gradient channel estimator.
