Abstract
The UK research sector utilises a highly varied infrastructure of research information management platforms. To reduce the administrative burden of managing, reporting and evaluating research, it has become crucial to enable system-to-system communication. Jisc is the UK's not-for-profit organisation supporting digital services and solutions in the UK research sector. Here, we describe the role Jisc has played in:â¢Promoting interoperability tofacilitate reliable and transparent research reporting;â¢Supporting institutions to meet, manage and demonstrate compliance to funders' open access policies;â¢Supporting researchers and managers to assess the impact of research using open citation and download statistics.
