Abstract
Peer-to-peer networks, without central servers, have peers operating both as client and server. This paper discusses flaws of P2P networks and clouds. That P2PClouds can be derived from idle resources is also briefly discussed. A re-classification of P2P attacks has been proposed based on attacker goals. Threat modeling enables developing designs for secure systems. An existing goal based threat modeling approach has been used and threats and countermeasures of a P2PCloud has been modeled using Threat-SIG. Finally, security requirements of P2PClouds are discussed as being potential area for further research in this field.
