Abstract
⺠This paper presents a new method to maximize the network reliability of interconnection networks under a predefined cost constraint. ⺠The failures of nodes as well as the links of the Networks are considered while solving this problem. ⺠The proposed method is compared against SSA, GA and Optinets to judge its effectiveness and efficiency. ⺠The network reliability of fully connected networks having up to 60 number of nodes and 1770 number of links are estimated within very less CPU time. ⺠The behavior of the cost on network reliability is studied.
