Abstract
A Multi-Grid (MG) assisted Reanalysis method (MGR) is proposed in this study. The distinctive characteristic of the MGR method is that the consistency between the modified and the initial meshes is not required. The MG is introduced to establish a connection between the modified and the initial meshes, so that the stiffness matrix of the modified mesh can be mapped to the initial one. Sequentially, the modified equilibrium equation can be reanalyzed based on the initial mesh by re-using the transfer operators from the initial MG analysis. A modified mesh without any consistency with the initial mesh can be well solved by this way, even if it is totally re-meshed after modification. Numerical examples are presented to verify the efficiency and accuracy of the proposed method. The results show that the efficiency of MGR is much higher than the MG Preconditioned Conjugate Gradient based full analysis, and the accuracy can also be guaranteed.
