Abstract
⺠This paper developed a hybrid self-organizing fuzzy and radial basis-function neural-network controller (HSFRBNC) for turning systems. ⺠The HSFRBNC eliminates the problem of a self-organizing fuzzy controller (SOFC) implementation. ⺠This study used a Levenberg-Marquardt algorithm to minimize the cost function of the radial basis-function neural-network. ⺠This study demonstrated that the HSFRBNC achieved better control performance than the SOFC for the control of a turning system.
