Abstract
⺠The proposed method provides instantaneous voiced/non-voiced (V/NV) detection. ⺠Marginal energy density with respect to time (MEDT) is used to detect V/NV regions. ⺠The advantage of computing MEDT over the low frequency range is demonstrated. ⺠The proposed method is robust to noise. ⺠No prior information of glottal closure instants or pitch frequency is required.
