Dynamic forces on a horizontal slat immersed in a fluidized bed of fine particles

Forces on the slat were measured both in fluidized and de-fluidized states. The effects of operating and structural parameters were determined systematically. Critical locations and operating conditions under high loads were indicated and warrant more attention in structural design of horizontal baffles.
