Abstract
Thermal performance and scattering properties are key characteristics for detection, identification, tracking and imaging of large aperture & small field of view (FOV) solar telescopes. For previous thermal scheme of the Space Solar Telescope (SST), a quasi-static thermal model of focal vane (FV) has been developed considering solar radiation of space environment. Three series of FVs with three geometry composing function factors (Sâ², H and θ) are investigated for additional thermal characteristics (ATC) of varying prime focal plane (PFP) temperature. The results show that optimization is necessary for Sâ², H and θ to minimize ATC. The integrated thermal-scattering (T-S) method provides a numerical reference optima design of FV in experimental phase next.
