Abstract
The structure, elasticity, ideal strength and thermal conductivity of a pure three-dimensional sp2 carbon allotrope were investigated by first principles method. The results indicate that this carbon allotrope is a superhard material with a negative linear compressibility, which makes it a very promising shock absorbing material.120
