Abstract
High quality CNTs were successfully synthesized in 20-40Â s by microwave heating a mixture of metal materials and ferrocene. Under microwave irradiation, metals triggered the pyrolysis of ferrocene, inducing the ultrafast growth of CNTs. The entire synthesis process is conducted in a domestic microwave oven at room temperature in ambient conditions.115
