Abstract
⺠The comap and the quad plot are shown to have both strengths and shortcomings. ⺠The new quad map enhances the capacity of previous exploratory data techniques. ⺠The quad map is based upon probability theory. ⺠Online analytics processing and GIS offer potential in automating the quad map.
