Abstract
⺠User interaction has an impact on mobile SMS demand, raising price elasticity. ⺠An increase in SMS received raises SMS demand by 33%, controlling for network size. ⺠SMS sent and received are complements in an “information production” function. ⺠Results reject the separability assumption in the networks competition literature.
