Abstract
- We propose planning by creating minimally regulated, reconfigurable and democratically available “Flexible Spaces.”
- Due to their limited spatial and temporal tenancy “Flexible Spaces” can help address some the endemic problems of planning.
- The paper offers a set of conceptual guides for the creation of Flexible Spaces.
- A series of empirical case studies are offered to demonstrate the benefits of Flexible Space planning.
