Abstract
Dealing with the interaction between numerous bodies, as in granular media, requires larger and larger computational resources. To this end, we develop a domain-decomposition-like method suited to discrete systems with diffuse non-smoothness. A multiscale enrichment completes the numerical strategy with the extra hope of bridging the gap between discrete and continuum models. The equilibrium of a tensegrity structure, closer to the continuous media case, is chosen to test this approach.
