Advances in rapid condition assessments of rock art sites: Rock Art Stability Index (RASI)

Two electron microscopy case studies allowed us to identify the specific rock decay processes and major causes of destruction on panels that were RASI-scored as in high threat, suggesting potential avenues for future conservation interventions. This approach illustrates a holistic strategy for rock art conservation.
