Abstract
A novel numerical method is presented for the approximation of scattered data sets to solve 2D plane problems. Stratified interpolation is presented and constructed by multi-story approximations. Meanwhile, its Kronecker delta property is also proven under certain circumstances. Additional efforts are not needed to enforce essential boundary conditions. Numerical experiments show that the new development has two distinct features: (i) the accuracy is improved by increasing nodes and circumventing the singularity of interpolation matrices and (ii) the depleted CPU time is reduced because most of the costs can be merged and preseted.
