Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to present a multiwavelet compression strategy for the boundary integral equation on an open wedge by defining a singular distance. Based on the multiwavelet compression strategy, a multiwavelet Galerkin method is applied for this integral equation to obtain a sparse coefficient matrix with the O((N)1+1/2m(logN)1/m)O((N)1+1/2m(logN)1/m) significant matrix entries.
