Abstract
In this work, we demonstrate the first use of NiCoP nanosheet array on Ti mesh (NiCoP NA/Ti) as an efficient catalyst for hydrolysis of NaBH4 in alkaline media. This catalyst shows a low activation energy of 52.68 kJ/mol for NaBH4 hydrolysis meanwhile the hydrogen generation rate can achieve 3016.79 mL/min/g(NiCoP) at 303 K, outperforming most reported Co-based noble-metal-free catalysts and some noble-metal catalysts. Remarkably, the catalyst exhibits high recyclability, durability and controllability for on-demand hydrogen generation in alkaline NaBH4.
