Abstract
Various supported Pd catalysts was subjected for selective oxidation of glycerol to glyceric acid in 200Â mL autoclave. The physicochemical properties of the catalysts were investigated using powder X-ray diffraction (XRD), N2 adsorption-desorption, X-ray fluorescence (XRF), H2-temperature-programmed reduction (H2-TPR), CO2-temperature programmed desorption (CO2-TPD), and transmission electron microscopy (TEM) techniques. Much attention has been paid to understand the structure-activity properties of Pd catalysts in liquid phase oxidation of glycerol.
