Abstract
Four sandwich-type zinc(II) 4â²-phenyl-terpyridine compounds [ZnL2](p-OSO2PhCH3)2 (1), [ZnL2](NO3)2 (2), [ZnL2](SO3CF3)2 (3) and [ZnL2](SbF6)2 (4) have been synthesized and characterized by IR, 1H NMR, elemental analysis, UV-vis spectroscopies and single crystal X-ray diffraction. The counterion effect on the colors, photoluminescent and thermal properties was studied.173
