Abstract
Using chiral bis-bidentate N-donor ligands, two homochiral mono- and dinuclear ErIII complexes have been isolated depending on the ratio of reactants. The NIR-emission intensity of mononuclear ErIII complex is much larger than that of dinuclear species. dinuclear ErIII complex is the first example of chiral polynuclear lanthanide complexes with NIR-luminescence property.169
