Abstract
PL spectrum of Sm3+ ions doped NaCaAlPO4F3 phosphor sample exhibits three characteristic luminescent peaks at an excitation wavelength of 380 nm. Anhigh intense peak is observed in the yellow region centered at 597 nm and other strong peaks in green & redregions centered at 562 & 643 nm respectively. CIE coordinates are calculated from PL spectra, the values of x and y coordinates of the present system were calculated to be (0.533, 0.464). The color perception for the phosphor system is visualized as 'orange'and its color purity is 99.6%. The obtained CCT value of the prepared phosphor sample is < 4000 K and emits a warm light. Thus, it can be inferred that the prepared phosphor may be a potential orange emitting phosphor material.188
