Abstract

- Introducing metal salt based UV-blocking properties into cotton fabric.
- A quite simple technique used to produce wash resistant UV-absorbers using different Cu-, Zn- and Ti-salts.
- Good UPF was obtained after treatment with Cu and Ti salts, and ranged between 11.6 and 14.
- The efficiency of the deposited metal oxides is compared on molar basis.
