Abstract
- Photoisomerization of azobenzene and bridged form are studied.
- Conical intersections are decay funnels.
- The slope of PES in the S1 state is larger in bridged azobenzene.
- The bridge makes rotation of the azo moiety faster and phenyl rings slower.
- Rotation of phenyl rings follows one direction in bridged azobenzene.
