Abstract
⺠Shoulder-square well fluids are studied for different heights and locations of the shoulder. ⺠Increasing the shoulder height promotes the formation of a solid from the liquid. ⺠The shoulder acting as a barrier produces denser condensed phases in coexistence with less dense vapors. ⺠A shoulder location move to longer distances shifts the critical points to lower temperatures and higher densities.
