Abstract
Nuclear Source estimations for High and Very High Gas Temperature Reactors require data for fission product adsorption on graphite at high temperatures. The adsorption and vapor pressures of silver on nuclear moderator grade IG-110 graphite were measured in the range of 1000-1400Â K. Knudsen Effusion Mass Spectrometry was used for vapor pressure measurements, and Instrumental Neutron Activation Analysis was used for measurements of silver adsorbed on graphite. From the data, adsorption isotherms and the heat of vaporization were deduced, and are reported.
