Correlation study between DKI and conventional DWI in brain and head and neck tumors

DKI was only recently proposed for oncologic applications, particularly in extra-cranial sites as the head and neck. We proposed a correlation study between DKI parameters and simpler metrics derived from standard DWI. A weak or moderate association emerged between Kapp and Dapp or Kapp and ADC within the lesions at the voxel level, while Kapp and Dmono showed a stronger relationship.381
