Abstract
A short review is given on the status of the anomalous magnetic moment of the muon, gâ2. Emphasis is put on recent developments in the different sectors and the accuracy of the Standard Model prediction. We comment on the prospects for further improvements in time for the upcoming gâ2 experiments and on New Physics explanations of the discrepancy, which has been further consolidated.
