Abstract

Main idea of lean manufacturing is to eliminate inefficiencies in the production activities and processes to minimize waste and create value to meet customer needs at the lowest cost. Spatial scales and time accuracy requirements, making rail transport compared to the manufacturing sector is more necessity and conditions of the implementation of lean management. Lean production by changing the mode of transport organization, improve internal contractual relationship and optimization of business organizational structure, the rational allocation of railway enterprises of various resources and strengthen its controllability, originating direct trains loading to transport organizational units to achieve the transport distance and economic, through connotation tapping the potential substantial release of transport capacity, and significantly improve the efficiency and effectiveness, and build a new railway the Lean transport organization mode. Lean production also contributed to the railway cadres and workers the habits and experience based on the traditional production activities, change is built on lean processes and IT on the basis of scientific and intensive production and management.
