Abstract
In this paper, we report our two–year experience offering an introductory computational thinking course for all first year students with no prior related background. In this course, we explore to seek a unified approach to teach non–CS majors and to find out to what extent they can be taught same as CS–majors. We describe our motivation for the proposed approach, the selection of topics, adoption of teaching methods, feedback from the survey at the end of the course, and some promising conclusions based on our experiences and student feedback.
