Abstract
The practical effects of the higher education are significant for the social development of a country or a region. So the reasonable assessment of a higher education institution is very important. There are different kinds of assessment models in the actual applications at present, and each has its advantages and disadvantages. We constructed an assessment model based on the fuzzy inference method and presented the assessment procedure in detail. Based on the data of a questionnaire sample, an assessment process was carried out. The assessment results show that the fuzzy assessment model can provide reasonable assessment results and is effective in practice
