Abstract
Achieving quality and cost-effective care is an expectation within the healthcare system. Developing effective interprofessional teams is an essential step in providing high quality, cost effective care. Several elements must be considered in identifying quality care goals, developing successful interprofessional teams, and executing effective quality improvement processes to optimize systems for optimal high quality delivery of healthcare services. This article will review elements this interprofessional team found essential in developing highly effective processes to address improving quality and healthcare goals.
