Abstract
The rupture of the interventricular septum and tricuspid chordae is a rare but fatal closed chest trauma complication. As the diagnosis may go undetected it requires a high index of suspicion. A case is presented of the diagnosis and surgical management approach with early treatment and a successful outcome.
