Abstract
A novel criterion for the global asymptotic stability of fixed-point state-space digital filters under various combinations of quantization and overflow nonlinearities is presented. The criterion is compared with a previously reported criterion.
►Asymptotic stability criterion for fixed-point state-space digital filters is proposed. ► The criterion turns out to be an improvement over previously reported criteria. ► An example is provided to illustrate the applicability of the approach.
