Abstract
This work analyses the influence of the EEG recording sampling instants systematic time shift on the subsequent surface filtering. The theoretical model of the common mode (CM) signal rejection with a general surface filter is presented. Interpolation is proposed to align sampling instants. Promising results for two configurations commonly used in brain–computer interface (BCI) domain are shown. Suggested interpolation techniques might be generalized and used in any case when there is a sequentially sampled sensor array followed by any postprocessing.
