Abstract
We address the problem of blind source separation using both a reference system and a deflation approach. First, we generalize a multi-input–single-output contrast function in considering a reference system. Then, a gradient-based deflation procedure is derived to extract the source signals one by one. A computer simulation shows that the proposed algorithm possesses a good behavior and thus the use of a reference system within a deflation procedure could be interesting in the source separation context.
