Tabletka podjęzykowa - nowa jakość w immunoterapii alergenowo-swoistej

Allergen immunotherapy has a well-established role in the treatment of allergic rhinitis and conjunctivitis. Sublingual allergen immunotherapy seems to have a similar impact on symptoms and medication score as compared to classic, subcutaneous immunotherapy. Due to the fact that sublingual immunotherapy utilizes several approaches, in this review we are comparing clinical trials data for two of the most common allergen tablets, Grazax and Oralair. Based on these data we suggest that pre and co-seasonal treatment is efficient only when Oralair is prescribed, whereas Grazax should be used in only in an all-year-around manner in order to obtain clinical efficacy. Further, more well-designed clinical trials are needed to establish the pre and co-seasonal treatment efficacy with Grazax.
