Abstract

•This case involves a primary immunodeficient patient with cytomegalovirus (CMV).•The patient developed genetic Ganciclovir resistance in the CMV.•The patient had a good response to Maribavir.•Treatments such as Foscarnet, Cidofovir, Leflunomide and others may also be used.
