Abstract

•Our study highlighted the presence of a high frequency of multidrug resistance among the isolates that most of them were ESBLs producer with CTX-M-15 subtype.•This is an alarming situation for KTPs and medical teams by limited the choice of antibiotics.•The permanent monitoring of the treatment outcome of infections among KTPs can reduce the spread of bacterial resistance, the length of hospitalization, expenditures and side effects of drugs.
