Abstract
In slow-twitch muscle, staurosporine in the short-term up-regulates proteolytic and sarco-KATP channel genes, reducing their expression/activity in the long-term. In fast-twitch muscle, staurosporine activates the sarco-KATP channels, down-regulates Bnip-3 gene.
