Abstract
A new aristolactam alkaloid (1) was isolated from the cytotoxic EtOAc extract of the stems of D.blumei and showed significant cytotoxicity against P-388, KB and ASK cancer cell lines with less toxic to a noncancerous human embryonic kidney cell Hek 293.76
