Abstract
Five alkaloids (1-5) were isolated from Abuta grandifolia. Compounds 3 and 4 were new bisbenzylisoquinoline alkaloids: (S-S)-O4â³-methyl,Nb-nor-O6â²-demethyl-(+)-curine and (S-S)-O4â³-methyl,O6â²-12 demethyl-(+)-curine. Alkaloids 1-5 showed acetyl- and butyrylcholinesterase inhibitory activities.82
