Abstract
Picture of Aframomum melegueta K.Schum (grains of paradise) with flowers and the structure of diterpene nucleus from which the bioactive compounds isolated from A. melegueata were derived. Modifications at R resulted in compounds with varying levels of bactericidal activity.208
