Abstract
Ligusticum chuanxiong Hort. (Umbelliferae), a popular Chinese medicinal herb, has been used for treatment of migraine and cardiovascular diseases in China for centuries. Senkyunolide I (SEI) is one of the major bioactive components in this herb. Here we report the pharmacokinetics, tissue distribution and metabolic characteristics of SEI in rats.202
